Our garden shed was the same as most, a dumping ground with no proper place for anything that was supposed to be in there and a lot of space being taken up by stuff that wasn’t supposed to be in there.
Replacing The Electrics
The wiring on Erik’s layout was not what was originally planned, implemented solely to facilitate an operating session. Sure, it worked, but it could not be described as robust. It has therefore been completely replaced and Erik assisted with the tasks.
Laying Some Track
After a three-month hiatus, it was decided that the Christmas period would be an ideal opportunity to make some more progress on Erik’s railway. So we invited Brian round for lunch and got cracking!
Making Baseboards
With the help of Uncle Brian, Erik measured up the boards to mark out the positions of the longitudinal rails before drilling and countersinking the holes, then gluing and screwing the wood into position.
