Routing Edges
Having acquired a router and bits from Pop, it was used to round over the edges of all the soft wood. This being the first time I’ve used a router, it was surprisingly easy.
- Clamped up ready
- Inside face done
- Centre brace done
- Outside face done
To save small fingers and silly questions, this was done while Erik was enjoying his swimming lesson. It was gratifying to use a power tool without tuition and to get an acceptable end result.
As a final wood working exercise, some stray edges were planed back using a good old-fashioned Jack plane, inherited from my brother.
