Combining Two Layouts

Driving back from the excellent Narrow Gauge South West show at Shepton Mallet with fellow members of the Surrey Area Group of the 7mm NGA, a notion was kicked around which, like a snowball rolling downhill, has grown into an idea.

Our Association Publicity stand is currently reliant on the availability of one layout, and therefore the good offices of the person who owns it. The stand itself is readily adaptable to accommodate other layouts …

Having recently retired Green Gates and Irkington Yard up in the loft unused, it was suggested that the latter could be finished with the buildings recovered from the former, and the whole donated to either the Group or Association for use in the display.

So, a notion became an idea and is slowly developing into a plan. Contact has already been made the Second Hand Sales Officer to enquire about the Kent Panel Controls panel-mount controller I saw on the stand earlier today!
