Slapping on paint

Due to the usual Paint & Finish Department being unavailable, it fell to the rank amateur to seal, prime, undercoat and gloss the four drawers. Done outside in the baking sun, they dried very quickly, but not before bugs had alighted and stuck in the wet paint!

Here’s the production line at full tilt. The items on the left are the skirting board lengths that go between the legs of the sides. This was bought shaped and primed, so only needed cutting and glossing.

Here are the other two drawers, up on blocks on the lawn, baking in the sun. The production line is visible in the background, under our new gazebo because it was that hot.

All I’ve got to do now is figure out how to get the drips of gloss paint off the newly laid flagstone path to the shed!

Oh, and the bugs? It appears that the technique is to brush them off quickly, but

gently, so leaving their feet in the paint but not smearing their bodies across it.
